The Expedition was redesigned for 2025 with new technology, a new suspension, a split tailgate and a new off-road Tremor. Every Canadian model has four-wheel drive and a 10-speed automatic. The 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 makes 400 hp and 480 lb-ft on regular fuel; the high-output version, available on the Platinum and standard on the Tremor, makes 440 hp and 510 lb-ft and requires premium. The MAX is about 30 cm (a foot) longer. Seating is for up to eight. Prices and figures come from Zack and Andrea Spencer's MotorMouth review notes from August 2025. Measurements in inches and cubic feet are converted to metric.

These are 2025 figures; ask for the current all-in price with freight, PDI and fees in writing.

02

Expedition or Expedition MAX?

The MAX is about 30 cm (a foot) longer, with the same legroom but more cargo space: 1,059 L (37.4 cu ft) behind the third row against 648 L (22.9 cu ft) in the regular Expedition.

Take this to your test drive

Load your usual cargo with the third row up before choosing.

03

Which engine should I choose?

The standard 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 makes 400 hp and runs on regular fuel. The high-output version makes 440 hp and 510 lb-ft, needs premium fuel, and is available on the Platinum and standard on the Tremor.

Take this to your test drive

Factor premium fuel into the cost of the high-output engine.

04

How capable is the Tremor?

MotorMouth's notes call the Tremor the most off-road-capable Expedition ever, with a retuned suspension, an electronic locking differential, skid plates, 33-inch all-terrain tires and 269 mm (10.6 in) of ground clearance.

Take this to your test drive

Ask about the Tremor's on-road ride before choosing it for daily driving.

05

What technology comes with it?

Technology comes up in 70 comments, and MotorMouth's review asked whether it is cool tech or user frustration. A 24-inch panoramic display and a 13.2-inch touchscreen with Google built-in are standard; BlueCruise is available.
