The 2026 Ranger is Ford's mid-size pickup, and every Canadian model has four-wheel drive and a 10-speed automatic. The 2.3-litre EcoBoost four makes 270 hp and 310 lb-ft; the 2.7-litre twin-turbo V6, available on the XLT and Lariat, makes 315 hp and 400 lb-ft; and the Raptor's 3.0-litre V6 makes 405 hp and 430 lb-ft with full-time four-wheel drive. Ford Canada does not publish prices in its page text, so the prices here are the 2025 figures from Zack and Andrea Spencer's MotorMouth review notes from January 2025, including freight, PDI and fees. Specs come from Ford Canada's 2026 Ranger page and MotorMouth's notes. Measurements in inches are converted to metric.

02

Turbo four or V6?

Engines come up in 154 comments. The 2.3-litre turbo four makes 270 hp and 310 lb-ft. Many viewers ask Ford for a hybrid Ranger; there isn't one in Canada. One owner wrote: "I have the 2024 2.7 ranger xlt in the same colour. I have had it for about a month and I love it. So much power and easy to park."

03

Which trim should I choose?

The XL is the work-truck base. The XLT is the volume trim and the first with the V6 option. The Lariat adds push-button start and more comfort features. The Raptor is the high-performance off-roader, with 272 mm (10.7 in) of ground clearance. An off-road package with skid plates, an off-road suspension and a locking rear differential is available, according to MotorMouth's notes. One viewer wrote: "The Ranger Tremor with the 2.7 would be perfection."
