What Canadian shoppers ask

The questions G70 shoppers bring to the showroom.

Drawn from 50 comments on MotorMouth's G70 videos posted since 2023 on the MotorMouth YouTube channel. Question themes sit apart from verified vehicle facts and help prepare a more useful test drive.

01

What does it cost?

Price and value come up in 13 comments. Genesis Canada lists the 2027 G70 at $57,150 for the 2.5T Advanced AWD, $62,650 for the 2.5T Prestige AWD and $65,150 for the G70 Graphite AWD. These are all-inclusive prices with freight, fees and levies included, before sales tax, registration and licence. Uyuni White is included; other colours add $900 and matte finishes $2,100.

Take this to your test drive

Build the trim and colour you want on Genesis Canada's site, then add sales tax and registration for your province to get your final number.

02

Which trim should I choose?

All three trims share the same engine, all-wheel drive and Brembo brakes, so the choice comes down to the cabin and the look. The 2.5T Prestige adds Nappa leather and aluminum accents, and the G70 Graphite has its own distinct finishes. Styling comes up in 9 comments. One buyer wrote the day they took delivery: "We just bought our G70 2.0T AWD today. VERY impressed with it!"

Take this to your test drive

Sit in the Advanced and the Prestige back to back to decide whether the Nappa leather is worth it to you, and see the Graphite finishes in daylight.

03

Is the 2.5T engine enough?

Engine and power come up in 6 comments. For 2027 Genesis Canada lists one engine for the G70: a 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with 300 hp at 5,800 rpm and 311 lb-ft of torque from 1,650 to 4,000 rpm, paired with an eight-speed automatic.

Take this to your test drive

Try a highway merge and a passing move in Sport mode, then repeat it in Comfort to feel the difference.

04

How much fuel does it use?

Natural Resources Canada rates the 2026 G70 AWD with the 2.5-litre turbo at 11.7 L/100 km (20 mpg US) in the city, 8.4 L/100 km (28 mpg US) on the highway and 10.2 L/100 km (23 mpg US) combined, on premium fuel. Ratings for 2027 have not been published yet.

Take this to your test drive

Reset the trip computer at the start of your test drive, try Eco mode on part of the route, and budget for premium fuel.

05

Is it ready for winter?

Winter driving and all-wheel drive come up in 5 comments. Every Canadian G70 has all-wheel drive on a rear-drive-based platform, so you get the balance of a sport sedan with traction for snow and rain.

Take this to your test drive

Ask about winter tire and wheel packages when you build the car, and budget for a set before the first snowfall.

06

How does it drive?

Genesis-branded Brembo brakes are standard on every G70, and the drive mode selector offers Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Custom. Zack and Andrea found the G70 dynamic and agile with precise steering, comfortable in stop-and-go traffic and lively in Sport+.

Take this to your test drive

Use the Custom mode to pair the steering and throttle you like, and include a twisty road and some city traffic on your test drive.

07

What tech comes with it?

Interior and tech come up in 9 comments. Every 2027 G70 has the 10.25-inch Genesis infotainment screen, which can split the display and offers a valet mode for when you hand over the keys.

Take this to your test drive

Pair your phone on the test drive and try the split-screen layout with navigation and audio side by side.

08

What is it like to own?

Genesis Canada includes 5 years of complimentary scheduled maintenance, at-home valet service and a courtesy vehicle. The warranty covers 5 years or 100,000 km (62,137 mi) comprehensive and powertrain, with 24-hour roadside assistance for 5 years and unlimited km. You can test drive and buy at home or at a Genesis Experience Centre. One owner kept their car at the end of the lease: "I just bought out my 2023 Genesis G70 at the end of the lease. It's been nearly perfect."

Take this to your test drive

Book your test drive at home if that suits you, and ask Genesis how the valet pickup works for scheduled maintenance where you live.
