The 2026 Ridgeline went on sale in Canada on September 9, 2025, in three all-wheel-drive trims: Sport, TrailSport and Black Edition. It uses a 3.5-litre V6 with a 9-speed automatic, an extra-wide bed made of glass fibre-reinforced SMC composite, and a washable, lockable In-Bed Trunk. The TrailSport gets an exclusive Ash Green Metallic paint for 2026. Honda Canada has confirmed a third-generation Ridgeline with a more rugged design is arriving within two years. There is no current MotorMouth review of the 2026 Ridgeline, so prices and specifications come from Honda Canada and fuel use from Natural Resources Canada.

What Canadian shoppers ask

The questions Ridgeline shoppers bring to the showroom.

Drawn from 547 comments on MotorMouth's Ridgeline videos posted since 2023 on the MotorMouth YouTube channel. Question themes sit apart from verified vehicle facts and help prepare a more useful test drive.

01

What does it cost?

Price and value come up in 89 comments. Honda Canada lists the 2026 Ridgeline at $52,990 for the Sport, $56,490 for the TrailSport and $58,990 for the Black Edition, all with all-wheel drive. Freight and PDI are $2,000, plus a $100 A/C charge. One owner sees it as good value: "Best mid-size truck for the money today. I love the dash with real switches... and the high degree of standard equipment."

Ask for the all-in price with freight and fees, and compare what the TrailSport and Black Edition add over the Sport.

02

Which trim should I choose?

Styling is the biggest theme, raised in 98 comments. All three Canadian trims share the V6 and all-wheel drive. The TrailSport is the rugged-looking model and is the only Ridgeline offered in Ash Green Metallic for 2026, a colour that debuted on the Passport TrailSport and was later added to the CR-V TrailSport Hybrid. A TrailSport owner wrote: "I just bought the Ridgeline Trailsport 2024, gray color. Love it. Perfect travel truck for my needs."

03

Is the V6 enough truck?

Engine and power come up in 76 comments. Every Ridgeline uses a 3.5-litre V6 with 280 hp and 262 lb-ft, a 9-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive, according to Honda Canada's 2026 specifications. One buyer coming out of a full-size truck wrote: "I am picking up a Honda Ridgeline TrailSport in Sonic Grey Pearl tomorrow. Going to be a big change for us coming from a Ram Longhorn. But it's all the truck I need now."

Drive it loaded if you can, and take it up a highway on-ramp to see how it pulls.

04

How much can it tow and carry?

Towing comes up in 43 comments. Honda Canada lists a maximum towing capacity of 2,267 kg (4,998 lb) for every 2026 Ridgeline, and a maximum payload of 687 kg (1,515 lb) for the Sport, 679 kg (1,497 lb) for the TrailSport and 677 kg (1,493 lb) for the Black Edition.

Bring the weight of your trailer, boat or camper, and ask the dealer which hitch and wiring come with the trim you choose.

05

What makes the bed different?

The Ridgeline has an extra-wide bed made of glass fibre-reinforced SMC composite, 1,625 mm (64.0 in) long with the tailgate closed and 960 L (33.9 cu ft) in volume, and a washable, lockable In-Bed Trunk under the floor with 206 L (7.3 cu ft) of storage, according to Honda Canada. One owner named the features that sold them: "Just bought a Ridgeline. The selling point for me was the fold up rear seat and the locking bed trunk."

Open the In-Bed Trunk at the dealer and measure your gear, bikes or coolers against the bed.

06

How much fuel does it use?

Fuel economy comes up in 48 comments. Natural Resources Canada rates the Sport and Black Edition at 12.8 L/100 km (18 mpg US) city, 9.9 L/100 km (24 mpg US) highway, 11.5 L/100 km (20 mpg US) combined, and the TrailSport at 12.8 L/100 km (18 mpg US) city, 10.2 L/100 km (23 mpg US) highway, 11.6 L/100 km (20 mpg US) combined.
