Electric driving comes up in 152 comments. Hyundai Canada lists up to 504 km (313 mi) of range for the rear-wheel-drive Preferred Long Range with its 84.0 kWh battery, based on Natural Resources Canada's 2026 Fuel Consumption Guide in ideal conditions. Absolutely couldn't be happier with it."

Take this to your test drive

Map your longest regular trip, including in winter, and ask the dealer for the range of the exact trim and drive you are pricing.

03

How fast does it charge?

The IONIQ 5 uses an 800-volt charging system. Hyundai Canada says it charges from 10 to 80% in about 18 minutes on a 350 kW charger, and fully in about 7 hours 20 minutes on a 240-volt Level 2 charger. It has a NACS port, and NACS-equipped models come with two CCS adapters, one for AC and one for DC charging.

Take this to your test drive

Ask the dealer to show you both adapters, and price out a home Level 2 charger with installation.

04

Is it ready for winter?

All-wheel drive and winter driving come up in 22 comments. For 2026 Hyundai Canada offers dual-motor HTRAC all-wheel drive, with a Snow drive mode, and a heat pump and battery thermal management are standard.
