The EV6 is Kia's electric crossover on its 800-volt E-GMP platform. Kia Canada refreshed it for 2025 with new front and rear styling, a curved integrated display, a larger 84.0 kWh battery with a targeted range of up to 513 km (319 mi), standard over-the-air updates through its new navigation cockpit, and a new entry Light RWD trim. Kia Canada's site still lists the 2025 EV6 as the current model. Prices are Kia Canada's MSRPs from its March 2025 release; ask for the current all-in price with freight, PDI and fees. Kia Canada's release does not give output or range by trim, so this guide leaves those out rather than estimate them.

What Canadian shoppers ask

The questions EV6 shoppers bring to the showroom.

Drawn from 278 comments on MotorMouth's EV6 videos posted since 2023 on the MotorMouth YouTube channel. Question themes sit apart from verified vehicle facts and help prepare a more useful test drive.

01

What does it cost?

Price and value come up in 85 comments on MotorMouth's EV6 videos. Kia Canada lists the 2025 EV6 Light RWD at $48,995, the Wind RWD at $55,995 and the Land AWD at $58,495 MSRP, with Land AWD packages at $59,995 (Premium), $61,495 (GT-Line) and $64,995 (GT-Line Limited). Freight, PDI, fees and taxes are extra.

Take this to your test drive

Ask for the all-in price in writing, and ask whether any federal or provincial EV incentive applies to the trim you want.

02

Which trim should I choose?

The Light RWD is a new, lower-priced entry trim for 2025. The Wind keeps rear-wheel drive with more equipment, and the Land trims add a second motor for all-wheel drive, with Premium, GT-Line and GT-Line Limited packages on top.

Take this to your test drive

Compare the build sheets for the Light and Wind side by side; the $7,000 gap is where most of the equipment changes.

03

How far will it go on a charge?

Electric range and charging come up in 110 comments, more than any other theme. Kia Canada gives the refreshed EV6 a targeted range of up to 513 km (319 mi) from its 84.0 kWh battery, without a breakdown by trim.

Take this to your test drive

Ask for the rated range of the exact trim and wheel size you are pricing, and plan around winter driving.

04

How fast does it charge?

The EV6 uses an 800-volt architecture, which allows high-power DC fast charging on compatible chargers. Kia says its EVs now support NACS charging.

Take this to your test drive

Ask what adapter or port the car you are buying uses for Tesla Superchargers, and which fast chargers on your routes are high power.

05

Is it ready for a Canadian winter?

The Land trims have dual-motor all-wheel drive. Ask which trims include the heat pump and heated rear seats on the current build sheet.

Take this to your test drive

If you drive in snow, test the AWD and confirm which winter features your trim includes.

06

What changed for 2025?

Kia Canada lists refreshed front and rear designs with Star Map lighting, a horizontal interior with a curved integrated display, the larger 84.0 kWh battery, standard over-the-air updates and the new Light RWD trim.

Take this to your test drive

If you are comparing with a used 2022 to 2024 EV6, check the battery size and range of each.

07

What technology comes with it?

Kia's next-generation Connected Car Navigation Cockpit brings standard over-the-air updates, and Digital Key 2.0 is available, according to Kia Canada.

Take this to your test drive

Try the infotainment and climate switching controls while parked.

08

What does the warranty cover?

Reliability comes up in 47 comments. Ask the retailer for the current warranty terms on the vehicle and the high-voltage battery, as Kia Canada's release does not list them.

Take this to your test drive

Get the battery warranty in writing with the purchase agreement.
