The TX is Lexus's three-row SUV, with seating for six or seven depending on the grade. It arrived for the 2024 model year, and Lexus Canada said at launch that it is built at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana. For 2026 Lexus Canada offers ten configurations across two powertrains: the TX 350 with a 275 hp 2.4-litre turbo four and an eight-speed automatic, and the TX 500h F SPORT Performance hybrid with 366 system hp, a six-speed automatic and Lexus DIRECT4 all-wheel drive. Every TX has all-wheel drive. The TX 550h+ plug-in hybrid does not appear in Lexus Canada's 2026 or 2025 releases. Prices run from $69,605 for the TX 350 Luxury to $92,196 for the TX 500h F SPORT Performance 3 with towing hitch, according to Lexus Canada, which has not published 2027 TX pricing yet. Fuel use is Natural Resources Canada's 2026 rating. Lexus Canada's release lists the TX 350 at 11.5 L/100 km (20 mpg US) combined, but Natural Resources Canada gives 11.5 L/100 km (20 mpg US) as the city figure and 10.3 L/100 km (23 mpg US) combined, so this guide uses Natural Resources Canada. Towing published in pounds is converted to kilograms.

What Canadian shoppers ask

The questions TX shoppers bring to the showroom.

Drawn from 908 comments about the TX on MotorMouth videos posted since 2023 on the MotorMouth YouTube channel. Question themes sit apart from verified vehicle facts and help prepare a more useful test drive.

01

What does it cost?

Price and value come up in 139 comments, and dealers and markups in 29. Lexus Canada lists the 2026 TX from $69,605 for the TX 350 Luxury to $82,381 for the TX 350 F SPORT 3 with towing hitch, and from $85,050 to $92,196 for the TX 500h F SPORT Performance grades. Lexus Canada's estimated vehicle price for the TX 350 Luxury is $73,005, including freight, PDI, the A/C charge and maximum dealer and other fees, before taxes and licence. Lexus Canada has not published 2027 TX pricing yet. One viewer summed up the premium over the Toyota: "if you want more premium and a Lexus badge on the Car ? yes it´s worth the more money."

Take this to your test drive

Ask for the all-in price with freight and fees in writing, and compare the TX 350 Executive and F SPORT 3 if you are choosing between seven seats and six.

02

Gas or hybrid, and is there a plug-in?

Hybrid and electric power come up in 152 comments, and engine and power in 93. The TX 350 has a 2.4-litre turbo four with 275 hp and up to 317 lb-ft and an eight-speed automatic. The TX 500h pairs a 2.4-litre turbo with a parallel hybrid system for 366 system hp and 409 lb-ft, with a six-speed automatic and Lexus DIRECT4 all-wheel drive, according to Lexus Canada. The TX 500h comes only as an F SPORT Performance grade. The TX 550h+ plug-in hybrid does not appear in Lexus Canada's 2026 release, and Natural Resources Canada lists no plug-in TX. A viewer asked in 2026: "If leasing is supposed to make cars more affordable like Zack said, why isn’t the Lexus TX Plug-in Hybrid offered in Canada?"

Take this to your test drive

Drive the TX 350 and the TX 500h on the same route, including a highway on-ramp, and compare them at the trim level you would actually buy.

03

How much fuel does it use?

Fuel economy comes up in 47 comments. Natural Resources Canada rates the 2026 TX 350 at 11.5 L/100 km (20 mpg US) city, 8.9 L/100 km (26 mpg US) highway and 10.3 L/100 km (23 mpg US) combined, and the TX 500h at 8.7 L/100 km (27 mpg US) city, 8.4 L/100 km (28 mpg US) highway and 8.6 L/100 km (27 mpg US) combined. Both are rated on premium fuel. Lexus Canada's release gives 11.5 L/100 km (20 mpg US) for the TX 350 as a combined figure, which Natural Resources Canada lists as the city rating.

Take this to your test drive

Reset the trip computer at the start of your test drive and include some highway driving to see the figure on your own route, and ask which fuel grade the owner's manual calls for.

04

Six seats or seven?

Space, cargo and rear seats come up in 50 comments. The TX 350 Executive 7-passenger seats seven. The Executive 6-passenger, the F SPORT 3 and every TX 500h have second-row captain's seats and seat six. The TX 350 Luxury and Ultra Luxury have a second-row bench, and Lexus Canada's release does not state their seat count. The TX 350 Luxury has power third-row seats, according to Lexus Canada. One viewer wrote: "Honestly, how many people have an 8-member family? I like the captain chairs…"

Take this to your test drive

Bring the car seats or boosters you use, install them in the row you plan to use, and check how easily you reach the third row past them.

05

Is it big enough for my family?

Lexus Canada says there is room behind the third row for seven carry-on suitcases. Its 2024 launch release lists 572 L (20.2 cu ft) behind the third row, 1,625 L (57.4 cu ft) with the third row folded and 2,747 L (97.0 cu ft) with the second and third rows folded; an earlier preliminary release gave 569 L (20.1 cu ft). Lexus Canada's preliminary figures put the TX at 5,160 mm (203.1 in) long, or 5,170 mm (203.5 in) for the TX 500h, on a 2,949 mm (116.1 in) wheelbase. A TX owner with three children wrote: "We have 3 kids, 1 new born. We just got the Lexus TX ultra luxury package with bench seat.. lots of room.. and 2 seats in the 3rd row.. love the luxury and quietness.."

Take this to your test drive

Bring the stroller, luggage or sports gear you carry most, load it behind the third row, and make sure the TX fits your garage.

06

What tech and comfort come with it?

The TX 350 Luxury adds a panoramic moonroof, heated and ventilated front seats, a digital key and 12-speaker audio, and the Ultra Luxury adds semi-aniline leather and a digital rear-view mirror. Higher grades bring a 21-speaker Mark Levinson system, head-up display, Panoramic View Monitor and Advanced Park, and the TX 500h F SPORT Performance 3 adds a 1,500-watt inverter, according to Lexus Canada.
